The “Nightgown Group”
The “Nightgown Drive” celebrated its 10th year this past December, culminating in a party at the Stutz residence in Lake Forest. The nine-day drive collected more than 430 wrapped nightgowns and pajamas, and members of the committee personally delivered each donation to programs in Cook and Lake Counties. Since the group began collecting in 2001, a staggering 2,100 wrapped nightgowns have been collected. Hostesses for the drive were Mary Jane Stutz, Sue Harmon, Missy Maan deKok, Joanne Menzies, Lisa Marwede Brewster, Diane Krapf, Maureen O’Grady-Tuohy, Susan Shaw Nommensen, Lise Dominique, Susan Layton, and Peg Allingham Ciccarelli. Sponsors for the event were The Grille on Laurel and Sunset Foods.
