Launch Party
On the evening of September 17, fans of local author Tom Alt came out to support their friend and neighbor and celebrate the launch of his book, 8-Track Flashbacks. Hundreds gathered at The Burt Collection Showroom in Lake Forest to cheer on Tom. The night included a ’60s cover band, a reading of an excerpt from the book, and high-end drive-in food from Inovasi.
Using the songs of his youth to reminisce, Tom fondly reflects during his book on the “stupid” decisions he made as a kid, associating them with music of the 1960s. Tom uses music, historical events, and all-too-familiar indiscretions to define and shape who he is today.
