Halo-ween Costume Party

The Steven Malin, Jr. Memorial Fund

The costumes were creative and the air was festive during the first annual Halo-ween Costume Party benefiting the Steven Malin, Jr. Memorial Fund, held at The Lake Forest Club on October 29. More than 150 guests joined in the fun, complete with best costume prizes. The evening supported the efforts of the Malin family to continue awarding two annual “Good Character” scholarships to graduating seniors of Lake Forest High School. Since 2010, almost $10,000 has been awarded to worthy students. The Memorial Fund is comprised of the proceeds of Maria Malin’s book, When You Just Can’t Say Good-bye, Don’t, her professional speaking on the topic of hope after the loss of a child, annual fund-raising efforts, and personal donations.
